European Union timber Regulation (EUTR) No 955/2010 – UK Timber Regulation
As an “operator/first placer” Consolidated Timber Holdings Group Limited and all of its subsidiary companies (together the “Group”) recognises its legal responsibility to ensure it procures timber and timber related products from legal and well managed sources. To meet the requirements of both the EUTR/UKTR and as a member of the Timber Development UK, the Group has adopted the TDUK Responsible Purchasing Policy (RPP) as its due diligence tool.
This allows the Group to risk asses and screen out any products that cannot be proven as being from a legal source, prior to purchase.
The Group is fully committed to purchasing all timber and timber related products from legal sources and continues to work with suppliers that operate in accordance with the laws of their country.
The Group fully supports the development of credible timber certification schemes and holds the relevant FSC and PEFC chain of custody certification.
